Event Description

Get a chance to taste rhubarb in a variety of ways at this year’s 28th Annual Rhubarb Festival, hosted by the Kankakee County Museum. This free festival begins at 10 a.m. and lasts until 4 p.m., inviting guests to learn about the pie plant, purchase rhubarb pies and jams from vendors, shop local arts and crafts, and find out what’s going on in the community from local organizations and businesses. The festival will also include tours of the historic home of Dr. A.L. Small and former Illinois Gov. Lennington Small, as well as the Taylor One-Room Schoolhouse to learn about school and life in the early 20th century. For more information, visit kankakeecountymuseum.com or call (815) 932-5279.
