PURPOSE?

City of Kankakee Economic and Community Development Agency (ECDA) will hold Public Hearings for the purpose of receiving comments from the citizens of the City of Kankakee regarding the HUD, Community Development Block Grant, Public Service. Public hearing will be in the format of a Community Needs Assessment Forum to discuss the needs in the community and the capacity of ECDA to address those needs. The City of Kankakee will also address the national objectives required in the expenditure of HUD funding. The three national objectives are (1) activities benefiting low to moderate income persons, (2) the prevention or elimination of slums and blight and, (3) meeting urgent need.
