Wright in Kankakee introduces Tulip Gala fundraiser Featuring “The Perilous & Amazing Journey of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Imperial Hotel-Tokyo” Wright in Kankakee is pleased to announce the TULIP GALA, a fundraiser to benefit the B. Harley Bradley House. This formal event will be held at the Kankakee Country Club on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. The evening includes a social hour, dinner, silent auction, raffle and a special presentation of “The Perilous & Amazing Journey of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Imperial Hotel-Tokyo.” Just 12 years following the completion of the Bradley House, Wright began designing an expansive hotel for the Emperor of Japan. Through hundreds of historic photos and eyewitness accounts, the story recounts the origins of the project, reveals the extensive design work that detailed the enormous hotel, as well as the many dangers—including massive earthquakes, World War I, and the wrecking ball which threatened to erase the masterpiece from history. Extensively researched and written by Frank Lloyd Wright Expert, Timothy Totten, the program will be narrated by Bob Bohlmann, Executive Director of Wright in Kankakee.

Individual tickets are $75. TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE END OF THE DAY, March 28, 2026. Tables of 8 are $550. Corporate Sponsorships of varying levels are also welcome! All can be purchased online: https://wright1900.org/events/ or by calling the office: 815-936-9630.
