City of Kankakee Vehicle Stickers Pushed Back to July

May 22, 2020

Kankakee, IL – As more details continue to emerge from Governor Pritzker’s Restore Illinois plan that would allow a safe approach to reopen our communities, including gathering in areas of 10 or more people and social distancing, vehicle sticker fees will now be conducted in July.

Residents in the City of Kankakee will be able to obtain their vehicle sticker starting on Monday, July 6, 2020 through Friday, July 31, 2020.

This announcement comes as the health and safety of ALL residents, as well as city employees, remain a top priority during these uncharted times as we aim to make this process safe for everyone.

Sticker fees are $35 per vehicle. The City of Kankakee utilizes revenue to support the general fund budget, including providing full-time police and fire services.

Additional details regarding the vehicle sticker process will follow in the coming weeks, while applications for vehicle stickers will be mailed to notify residents.

The City of Kankakee appreciates your patience and cooperation.

We hope you are safe and well.
