The City of Kankakee is excited to announce that the annual Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 4:30 PM along South Schuyler Avenue (Oak Street to River Street). This year’s parade will once again bring holiday spirit to the community with festive floats, march bands, and seasonal entertainment for all to enjoy.

To encourage creativity and community participation, the city will award prizes for the top three parade entries. First Place will receive $1,000, Second Place $500, and Third Place $250, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.

Alderman Lance Marczak, Chair of the Parade Organizing Committee, shared his appreciation, stating: “We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors for helping us make this cherished community tradition bigger and brighter each year. Their generosity allows us to celebrate the holidays together in a truly special way.”

The deadline for parade entries is November 30, and the entry form can be found on the City’s website at www.citykankakee-il.gov The city encourages all organizations, businesses, and community groups to sign up and be part of this festive event.
