Kankakee, IL — The City of Kankakee is proud to announce that Monica Pizano has been selected as the Grand Marshal of the 2025 City of Kankakee Christmas Parade, to be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in downtown Kankakee.

Monica Pizano is a nationally recognized, award-winning real estate professional with more than 22 years of service to Kankakee County and surrounding communities. She is celebrated for her achievements as the first Latina to own a real estate brokerage in Kankakee County and has earned numerous distinctions, including being named Realtor of the Year 2023 and ranking among the Top 250 Latino Real Estate Agents in the United States.

In addition to her professional success, Monica is deeply committed to community service. She has volunteered her time across various City of Kankakee events and initiatives and is a passionate advocate for the Hispanic community. She currently serves as the President-Elect of the Kankakee, Iroquois, Ford Association of Realtors and Vice President of the Kankakee County Hispanic Partnership, while also participating on several boards and committees throughout the county. Her leadership, service, and dedication to uplifting others reflect the spirit of the season and the values of the Kankakee community.

The City of Kankakee invites all residents and visitors to join in the holiday celebration and help honor Monica Pizano at the 2025 Christmas Parade on December 13.
