Elizabeth graduated from Millikin University in Decatur, IL with a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting. Elizabeth has over 18 years of accounting experience from the private, non-profit, and local public government sectors. For 15 years, Elizabeth has held various financial positions within Illinois local government at the Village of Steger, IL, the Bourbonnais Township Park District and currently at the City of Kankakee, IL.
Elizabeth’s other community involvement includes serving as the current Board Chair of the Community Foundation of the Kankakee River Valley and member of the following: Community Foundation Investment Committee, Kankakee Development Corporation, Kankakee Area Human Resources Management Association (KAHRMA), Merchant Street Music Fest, Kankakee High School INCubatoredu Mentoring Program, Bourbonnais Township Park District Foundation Board and Riverside PULSE Committee. Elizabeth has formerly served on the United Way Allocations Committee, and the Kankakee Police Pension Board.
Kankakee is a wonderful community filled with such a rich history yet constantly striving to grow and envision a better tomorrow. I love the people that make Kankakee such a great place!
