The City of Kankakee will be picking up leaves on your regular garbage day!
What to Know:
Rake leaves into rows along the back of the curb (no alleys).
Have leaves ready before your scheduled day—crews can’t return once they pass.
Don't block leaf pickup.
For weekly pick-up, use biodegradable paper bags or yard waste cans until December 1st.
No plastic bags, branches, or contaminated leaves will be picked up.
