The City of Kankakee’s fall leaf pickup begins in October and runs through December.

Crews will collect leaves on your regular garbage day. Leaves must be out before crews arrive—crews cannot wait or return once they have passed.

Place leaves in rows along the back of the curb in front of your residence. Leaves in alleys will not be vacuumed.

Please remember:
• No plastic bags
• No branches mixed with leaves
• No litter or foreign material mixed with leaves
• Leaves with cars locking them in will not be picked up.

For guaranteed weekly pickup: Use biodegradable paper bags or yard waste cans. Republic Services will continue collecting these through December 1.
