The Economic and Community Development Agency’s (ECDA) Public Service Program will be accepting applications in August for a second-round of funding opportunity in August. Information regarding the application process is within the infographic and you can call 815-933-0506 for more information.



2020 Private Security Camera Incentive Program (PSCIP)

The Private Security Camera Incentive Program creates an incentive for residents, businesses, nonprofits, and religious institutions to purchase and install security cameras that are intended to help deter crime and assist law enforcement with investigations. The program offers rebates for the purchase of security cameras.

Seeking Input: American Rescue Plan Act Spending

Mayor Chris Curtis, in consultation with Kankakee City Council members, is asking City of Kankakee residents to share their priorities for the expenditure of American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds. The City was allocated approximately $14.6 million in federal assistance to help recover from the pandemic, and public input will help determine how this money is spent.
