Event Description

Kankakee County Center Against Sexual Assault (KC-CASA) is excited to offer an interactive program “TruSelf Empowerment Camp” for young girls, ages 10-13. The free 4-week camp series will be held on Thursdays and will begin on Thursday, June 6th from 5:30 p.m. -6:45 p.m. at the KC-CASA office (1440 W. Court St. Kankakee, IL 60901) facilitated by Kristin Giacchino, KC-CASA Prevention Specialist. This 4-week program recognizes the importance of planting seeds of empowerment at an early age to help diffuse many of the challenging issues they will be faced with during their upcoming teen years and beyond. Each week will include discussion and respectful listening, yoga and meditation, art and journaling. All girls ages 10-13 are welcome to attend this free camp.
