Event Description

WEEK 1: STRANGER DANGER
Children will learn common strategies that predators use and what to do if a stranger approaches them. This session includes story time, role-playing and creating a craft!

WEEK 2: BODY SAFETY
This age appropriate lesson will teach young children empowering language and strategies to protect themselves from sexual abuse. This session also includes a fun craft to take home!

WEEK 3: GOOD SECRETS & BAD SECRETS
Predators often ask children to keep their abuse “a secret.” Children will learn the difference between safe and unsafe secrets through a story and art project!

These FREE camps are recommended for children ages 4-8 and will be offered at the following locations:
Kankakee Public Library
Mondays- July 15th, 22nd, and 29th
10:00-11:00 AM

Little Me Learn & Play Studio (Bourbonnais)
Mondays- July 15th, 22nd, and 29th

Pembroke Public Library
Thursdays- July 11th, 18th and 25th
2:00-3:00 PM

Bradley Public Library
Fridays- July 26th, August 2nd and 9th
