  • Lifelong resident of Kankakee, 4th ward resident since 2008, previously 3rd ward resident
  • Graduate of Bishop McNamara High School class of 1992
  • Wife and children all graduates of Kankakee High School
  • Parents and Grandparents were lifelong residents of Kankakee

  • Executive Fire Officer Program – Current Student, National Fire Academy FEMA
  • Chief Fire Officer (Provisional) Certification – 2017, Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal
  • Master of Science Degree in Fire Service and Homeland Security Management – 2013, Southern Illinois University
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Fire Service Management – 2006, Southern Illinois University

  • ISO 1 rating for the Kankakee Fire Department – Committee member, 2019
  • Kankakee Fire Department’s Explorer Program - Founding member, supervisor and instructor, 2017
  • Appointed as the Kankakee Fire Department Training Officer - 2016
  • Promoted to the rank of Captain - 2014
  • John R Tate Advocacy Center - Governance Board member, 2010 – 2015
  • Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant – 2008

 

Goals for the Kankakee Fire Department

  • Improve the service provided by the Kankakee Fire Department to the citizens
  • Improve Public Safety Education for the citizens of Kankakee
  • Develop a leadership program for the officers of the Kankakee Fire Department
  • Continue to improve the safety and training for the members of the Kankakee Fire Department
  • Improve community relationships through Public Education and Public Relation events
  • Improve efforts to hire residents through use of Explorer / Cadet and Community outreach programs
