Riverside Medical Center expands available health services, shows commitment to Kankakee-area community

Kankakee Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong met with officials from Riverside Medical Center on Thursday to discuss updates the hospital has made in recent months that will greatly expand medical services available to area residents. Mayor Wells-Armstrong was joined by Bradley Mayor Bruce Adams and Bourbonnais Mayor Paul Shore.

 

Pork and Blues Rib Festival draws crowd from across region

Families from across the region came out to Bird Park Band Shell on Saturday for the first annual Pork and Blues Rib Festival. The event, featuring live music and a ribs contest, raised money for repairs on the Bird Park Band Shell and Pavilion, which is in need of a repairs from storm damage and a lack of maintenance over the years.
