On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, around 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a deceased male subject found in an apartment on the 400 block of West Bourbonnais Street in Kankakee. Apartment management located 66-year-old Albert Zaragoza in his room. The family has been notified. The preliminary investigation indicated that the victim suffered from wounds consistent with him being involved in a struggle, as well as, being a victim of a homicide.    

     The Kankakee Police Department and the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office are investigating the homicide.  Police are searching for the victim’s silver 2014 Ford F150 pick-up truck bearing Illinois registration of TRUCKR which was not found parked at the building.  Anyone with information is requested to contact the Kankakee Police Department at 815-933-3321.
