At about 1:50 PM on December 4, 2020, officers responded to a report of shots fired on the 1300 block of West Station Street.  Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old male with gunshot wounds in a parked vehicle.  The male, Patrick Chism of Bourbonnais, was transported to a local hospital where he subsequently died from his wounds. 

     Officers learned that an 8-year-old had also been shot while in the car.  A subject who knew both victims had transported her to a local hospital for treatment.  Her injury is not believed to be life threatening at this time.

     Officers obtained information that the shooter was in a gray Nissan sedan that shot at the victim’s car while traveling east on Station Street.  Anyone with information is requested to contact the Kankakee Police Department at 815-933-3321.
