Kankakee, IL – As many businesses continue to navigate their way through the COVID-19 pandemic, Tractor Supply Company, located off City of Kankakee exit 308 Riverstone Parkway, joins the growing list of businesses providing flexible services to meet the needs of their customers.

Store Manager, Jamie Ackman, stated Tractor Supply is now using Roadie which is a same-day delivery program. Customers have the option to shop online with more than a thousand items ready for pick up or curbside in one hour locally. The retail chain store also offers the option for items to be delivered straight to the customer’s home quickly.

“Even though we are currently in a worldwide crisis, as a team, we haven’t lost sight of taking care of our customers and keeping everyone safe. Our customers have been great. We are considered an essential business; therefore, we stayed open to make sure their needs are still being met. Our customer base is a wide variety from farmer, to a new pet owner with everything in between. We also have many businesses who shop locally and we have visitors stop by who tell us they notice the sign off the highway. Our focus is helping them find what they need. We appreciate our staff who continue to provide quality service,” said Store Manager, Jamie Ackman.

Tractor Supply opened its doors in Kankakee in October of 2019. The company started in 1938 by Charles E. Schmidt from Chicago who began a mail order tractor parts business. The retail store was then founded the following year as it started to grow in North Dakota. Tractor Supply now sells a variety of products such as tools, farmer supplies, pet supplies, toys, automotive, clothing and more.
