CITY OF KANKAKEE RELEASES “KANKAKEE WORKS” PROGRAM FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

KANKAKEE, IL (JANUARY 16, 2024) – The City of Kankakee has allocated $350,000.00 from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to fund the ‘Kankakee Works’ grant program for small businesses who faced negative economic impacts from the Covid-19 pandemic. The City expects to award up to 20 businesses with this one-time grant on a reimbursement basis for expenses that must have occurred between March 3, 2021 and October 31, 2024.  ‘Kankakee Works’ applications are available in the City of Kankakee Economic & Community Development Agency office or on their website.
