As Mayor of the City of Kankakee, I am pleased to welcome you to our city on the rise. Thank you for visiting us and for taking the time to learn more about our community.

The City of Kankakee has launched a new Comprehensive Plan to help guide decisions about the community’s future over the next 10-15 years, including land use, housing, economic development, transportation, infrastructure, community character, and more. 

And we want to hear from you. 

The City of Kankakee’s fall leaf pickup begins Monday, October 19, and runs through Friday, December 4.

Crews will collect leaves on your regular garbage day. Leaves must be out before crews arrive—crews cannot wait or return once they have passed.

Place leaves in rows along the back of the curb in front of your residence. Leaves in alleys will not be vacuumed.

Residents of Hobbie Heights and Marycrest are invited to join Alderman Reggie Jones and Alderwoman Lenora Noble for a 7th Ward Community Meeting.
This is an opportunity to share your concerns, ask questions, provide input, and hear about issues affecting our neighborhoods.
