Kankakee, IL – The Kankakee Fire Department continues to monitor novel (new) coronavirus (COVID-19) and would like to remind everyone the steps to take in the case should you become ill.

Kankakee, IL –  In an effort to follow Governor Priztker’s executive order to create social distance, limit exposure to the COVID-19, and reduce spread of the virus, the City of Kankakee offices are currently closed to the public, but will continue to provide services. Payments can now be accepted over the phone at 815-933-0515.

We would first like to express our condolences as Illinois reported its first Coronavirus (COVID-19) death, a Chicago woman in her sixties with an underlying health condition. The woman had contact with an individual who tested positive COVID-19.
