Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong has released the following statement regarding flooding in the area.

Kankakee Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong will host a Town Hall Meeting to discuss the Mayor’s Kankakee Forward agenda and allow for community feedback from residents.

Detective Steven B. Hunter, a 19-year veteran of the Kankakee Police Department, has been promoted to Sergeant. Acting Police Chief Price Dumas announced the promotion this morning, effective immediately.

Kankakee Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong has been selected to be part of the 2018 Leaders Lab Mayor Cohort at the National League of Cities University.

Kankakee Fire Department Capt. Jeff Bruno was promoted Monday to deputy fire chief, becoming second in command of the department.
