A nationwide organization of mayors dedicated to ending violence among African-American men and boys has selected the City of Kankakee to receive resources, training and assistance in implementing a public safety plan.
The city of Kankakee is pleased to announce that Pete Schiel was recently promoted to Interim Superintendent of the Environmental Services Utility (ESU). In this new role, Schiel will report directly to Mayor Chasity Wells-Armstrong.
