As of 5:40 pm, Aqua Illinois, in consultation with the Illinois EPA has lifted the boil order advisory for the City of Kankakee and the surrounding area.
Aqua has announced that all residents in Kankakee (along with the Aqua service area County wide) should use bottled water or boil water to be used for drinking, food preparation, brushing teeth or making ice.
