12.05.2020 — Our community is grieving behind the tragedy that occurred yesterday. I have spoken with several community members and you have shared that you would like to hear from me.

Kankakee, IL –City council meetings and all committee meetings will be conducted via Zoom for the rest of the year. The recent spike in positive COVID-19 cases and Tier 2 mitigations led to the decision. Tier 2 mitigations reduces the size of gatherings to 10 people or less in both indoor and outdoor settings.

The Greater Kankakee Black Chamber of Commerce is raising funds to pay for the internet services of 25 families.

KANKAKEE, IL (November 20, 2020) – The state of Illinois will be moving into Tier 3 mitigations today on Friday, November 20, 2020 due to the spike in COVID-19 cases across the state. There are multiple resources available for local businesses during these unprecedented times.
